Work-Study Host Program
Green Door Folk School is seeking a committed group of class hosts to help facilitate courses and serve as welcoming ambassadors for the folk school. In exchange for hosting, Green Door covers the cost of course tuition (excluding materials and consumable fees, which typically range from $10–$40 depending on the class). Hosts play an essential role in creating a warm, organized, and intentional learning environment by welcoming students, supporting instructors, assisting with setup and cleanup, and helping classes run smoothly from start to finish. While hosts are encouraged to participate in the class when possible, host responsibilities always come first.
We’re looking for people who are warm and hospitable, calm under pressure, confident in front of groups, attentive to the needs and energy of a room, and passionate about the mission of Green Door Folk School.
Most classes take place on Saturdays and Sundays, so some level of weekend availability and flexibility is required.
