Green Door runs on people who believe in 
making things by hand and making them together.

Green Door started with a simple idea: people are happier when they slow down, learn something with their hands, and do it alongside their neighbors. On our working farm in Cedar, that looks like quilting circles and stained glass, cheesemaking and botanical illustration, repair cafes where a broken lamp gets a second life, and barn dances where nobody needs to know the steps to join in.

    • Your support helps cover materials and instructor pay so more people can take a class, whatever their budget or background.

    • Repair Cafes, Open Studio, and free community events are how a lot of people find us for the first time. Donations keep them free or close to it.

    • We pay the instructors, artisans, subject matter experts and musicians who share their skills, and we want to keep doing that fairly.

    • Tools, equipment, and a farm that’s always asking for a little more attention.

  • Green Door is an L3C, a low-profit limited liability company. It’s a structure built for mission-first organizations: we run like a small business, but community comes before profit. Your support goes right back into classes, events, and the people who make them happen.
